Due to its rigorous research methodologies and objectivity, The Best Lawyers in America is one the of the most prestigious legal directories. Inclusion is based on comprehensive survey responses submitted by thousands of the leading lawyers in the U.S. Unlike some directories, lawyers are not required to pay a fee to be listed.
In the 2009 edition, 10 Ropes & Gray lawyers were recognized for the first time; 20 have been listed for at least 10 years; and five have been listed for at least 20 years.
