Adam Schlichtmann joined Ropes & Gray in 2005 as an associate in the Corporate Department. Adam's practice focuses on the representation of investment advisers and mutual funds and their independent trustees/directors in connection with regulatory and transactional matters and derivatives.

He has also represented publicly traded and privately held companies in the life sciences industry in connection with securities offerings and intellectual property matters

Professional Experience

Prior to attending law school, Adam pursued graduate studies in the Chemistry Department at MIT where he specialized in biological chemistry.  His research focused on cancer-related mechanisms of DNA damage and repair and platinum-based anti-tumor therapeutics.

Adam was also a consultant for a global professional services firm where he assisted with the merger of two major U.S. pharmaceutical companies.
