Amanda is an associate in the litigation department and a member of the firm’s Government Enforcement practice group. Amanda focuses her practice on defending individuals and corporations against allegations of Food Drug and Cosmetic Act violations, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and U.K. Bribery Act violations, insider trading, and financial fraud. Amanda also helps clients take a proactive approach to compliance through developing best practices compliance programs.
- Defended individuals and corporations against allegations of off-label promotion.
- Developed and implemented anti-corruption compliance programs for companies in high risk industries (e.g., private equity, pharmaceutical, medical device, and construction).
- Defended private equity firms in connection with SEC’s sovereign wealth fund investigation.
- Defended corporations in connection with U.K. FSA reviews post implementation of U.K. Bribery Act.
- Conducted FCPA acquisition diligence pre and post deal, including a multi-country review structured as a Halliburton review.
- Conducted FCPA investigations in Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Europe.
- Represented individuals under investigation by the SEC for insider trading.
- Defended individuals and corporations under investigation by the SEC for financial fraud, including complex revenue recognition and software capitalization issues.
- Successfully pursued asylum claims on behalf of the National Immigrant Justice Center.
