Andrew Caffrey joined Ropes & Gray in 2006 as an associate practicing in the Litigation Department.  Andrew’s practice focuses on white-collar criminal defense, securities litigation, and complex civil litigation.

Professional Experience

Andrew’s government enforcement practice has included representing companies under investigation by the U.S. Attorney’s Office, SEC, Congress, as well as other federal and state authorities. Recently, he has represented a major medical device manufacturer in connection with an investigation into its marketing practices by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. He has also advised a large public company in parallel civil and government actions related to stock option-backdating allegations. His civil litigation practice has included work at the trial and appellate level, including practice before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the First and Second Circuits.

Andrew’s pro bono practice has included the representation of individuals in federal immigration court, disabled veterans before the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and a non-profit organization in a successful environmental challenge to a Department of the Interior regulation.

During law school, Andrew worked for Professor Laurence Tribe as a research assistant and teaching fellow.
