    Practice

    Bonnie Schroeder McGuire joined Ropes & Gray in 2002 as an associate in the Litigation Department.

    Professional Experience

    Bonnie’s practice focuses on complex commercial and securities litigation matters. She has defended corporations and individual officers and directors in general commercial litigation, as well as in securities fraud, ERISA, and consumer class actions. Bonnie also has represented financial services industry clients in connection with investigations by the SEC, NASD/FINRA, and state securities regulators regarding alleged fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and failure to supervise claims.

    Bonnie also has significant experience conducting internal investigations for clients concerning such diverse matters as potential market timing, stock option backdating, and electronic data breaches. Her practice also involves advising clients with respect to internal controls and regulatory compliance.

    Bonnie maintains an extensive pro bono practice. She has represented numerous clients in asylum cases, including a trial before the United States Immigration Court and an appeal before the Board of Immigration Appeals. Bonnie also recently authored an amicus curiae brief filed in the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
