Byung is Co-Head of the firm's Finance practice group. He focuses his practice on leveraged finance transactions, including syndicated credit facilities, bridge financings and high yield debt offerings. Byung has extensive experience representing private equity firms and their portfolio companies, investment banks, public companies and debt investors.
- Represented TPG Capital in connection with $1.10 billion of debt financing for the acquisition of Immucor.
- Represented TPG Capital in connection with $1.85 billion of debt financing for the acquisition of J.Crew Group.
- Represented Bain Capital in connection with $1.445 billion of debt financing for the acquisition of Gymboree.
- Represented TPG Capital and Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board in connection with $3.275 billion of debt financing for the acquisition of IMS Health.
- Represented Bain Capital and The Blackstone Group in connection with the mezzanine financing for the acquisition of The Weather Channel.
- Represented TPG Capital in connection with the sale of Alltel Communications to Verizon Wireless.
- Represented Bain Capital in connection with $850 million of debt financing for the acquisition of Bright Horizons Family Solutions.
- Represented Silver Lake Partners and TPG Capital in connection with $5.8 billion of debt financing for the acquisition of Avaya Inc.
- Represented Bain Capital and The Blackstone Group in connection with $4.8 billion of debt financing for the acquisition of Michaels Stores.
