Practice
Chris Leich is currently the head of Ropes & Gray's Tax & Benefits Department, with a practice focused on corporate and partnership income taxation.
Professional Experience
Chris has been actively involved with a broad range of business tax issues, from structuring the initial operations of start-up enterprises to advising mature public companies on major tax matters. A substantial part of his practice is devoted to private equity sponsors and investors, including Bain Capital, Silver Lake Partners, THL, and TPG. Chris has extensive experience in structuring private equity funds, hedge funds, CBO funds, and funds of funds, and he regularly advises on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, joint ventures, and spin-offs, as well as public offerings of equity and debt securities.
