Cori has worked with numerous pharmaceutical and medical device companies in responding to government investigations by federal and state agencies, and in defense of related complex civil litigation. She also has conducted internal investigations within the health care industry, focusing on matters relating to the Food, Drug, & Cosmetic Act, False Claims Act, and Anti-Kickback Statute. As part of her practice, Cori has extensive experience in working with statistical and medical experts in a variety of specialties.
Cori also advises clients on data security and privacy matters, primarily representing corporate victims of cybercrime in conducting forensic investigations of computer networks, responding to international governmental privacy commissions, and coordinating with law enforcement regarding the prosecution of computer hackers.
Cori has an active pro bono practice serving as court-appointed counsel to prisoners alleging violations of their federal civil rights.
- Defended major pharmaceutical joint venture in multiple investigations into the conduct of clinical trials for a prominent “blockbuster” drug, which resulted in a highly favorable multistate resolution and no action taken by investigating U.S. Attorney’s Offices.
- Represented Fortune 500 company in highly-publicized data breach spanning four countries, and led domestic and international computer forensic investigations that resulted in no action taken by overseas investigating privacy commissions.
