Dan focuses his practice on complex commercial disputes and enforcement matters. His substantial trial experience includes the representation of an asset manager in recent, multi-jurisdiction litigation. In addition, Dan has represented pharmaceutical industry clients in matters brought by Attorneys General and plans, while also advising hedge funds, public companies, nonprofits and executives on diverse issues, including regulatory proceedings. Dan has also directed internal investigations and coordinated with auditors and other industry experts. Prior to joining Ropes & Gray, Dan participated in a trial clinic in the Eastern District of New York, advocating on behalf of indigent defendants.
- State Street Bank and Trust: Representing large asset manager in proceedings brought by SEC and private investors, relating to losses in fixed income funds caused by exposure to mortgage-related securities
- Express Scripts, Inc.: Represented Fortune 100 pharmacy benefit manager in suit brought by New York Attorney General, as well as in connection with actions pursued by other attorneys general and institutional clients
- Norton-Simon Art Museum: Represented art museum in arbitration over provenance of certain valuable paintings
- Carter’s Inc: Represented public company in regulatory proceedings arising from financial re-statements
- Tiger Asia: Represented hedge fund in connection with dispute arising out of positions in Chinese media company
