David Chapin is a member of the firm’s Policy Committee and is the Strategic Development Partner at Ropes & Gray. David specializes in private equity transactions and in mergers and acquisitions involving public companies. David has broad experience representing clients in a wide variety of financial and strategic transactions.
Professional Experience
David regularly represents Berkshire Partners and Thomas H. Lee, as well as represents a number of other private equity funds; Oscient Pharmaceuticals, a publicly traded genomics company; and has represented Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch and other underwriters and investors in numerous public offerings by technology-intensive companies.
