Emily joined the Bankruptcy and Business Restructuring group of Ropes & Gray’s London office in 2010. She was previously with the London office of Allen & Overy.
Emily assists with restructuring and insolvency transactions and has broad experience acting for debtors, creditors and insolvency practitioners on a number of cross-border restructurings and domestic insolvencies.
Representative Clients and Matters
- Acting for certain mezzanine lenders to KCA Deutag Oil Services Group, including funds managed by BlackRock Financial Management, Inc., EIG Management Company, LLC and GoldenTree Asset Management LP, in connection with KCA’s financial restructuring.
Representative Clients and Matters prior to joining the firm include:
- Advising noteholders and hedge counterparties on exposures to Lehman Brothers entities worldwide.
- Advising various creditors of Glitnir and Landsbanki.
- Assisting the segregated clients with the Lehman Brothers International (Europe) client money application to the High Court.
- Advising the PPP administrators of Metronet Rail.
- Advising hedge counterparties on their exposure to a distressed European airline company.
- Advising the directors of Kaupthing Singer & Friedlander Limited and its various subsidiary companies prior to and immediately after the appointment of administrators.
- Advising the liquidators of a telecommunications company on the sale of a number of over seas assets.
