Josh advises clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries on transactional matters. Since joining the firm in 2009, Josh has worked on matters with attorneys in a range of practice areas including private equity, venture capital, securities and public companies and intellectual property.
Prior to law school, Josh worked for several years in the Research and Development division of Amgen, Inc., where he focused primarily on the formulation and development of preclinical stage pipeline drug candidates.
- Worked on a leveraged acquisition of a dental office management portfolio company by a private equity fund.
- Worked on a Series C preferred stock issuance by a venture-backed medical device company.
- Advised venture-backed medical device and healthcare companies on bridge financings and issuance of convertible securities.
- Worked on an investment by life sciences focused investment funds into convertible notes and warrants issued by a publicly traded pharmaceutical company.
- Worked on an asset divestiture involving trademark and technology out-licenses.
