Labor & Employment
Our lawyers represent clients on all matters related to labor and employment law. We strive to minimize our clients’ litigation risk by addressing their unique needs and offering situation-specific solutions. When litigation is necessary, however, our lawyers litigate to win and, in fact, have an exceptional record of success in this area. We regularly appear before courts and administrative agencies throughout New England, and in numerous other states, on behalf of our clients. The cases we have handled in civil court and in arbitration include:
- Discrimination claims;
- Wrongful discharge;
- Sexual harassment;
- Noncompetition and trade secrets;
- Retirement compensation;
- Employee benefits;
- Wage and hour law;
- Defamation and privacy; and
- "Whistleblower" and retaliation claims.
Additionally, we advise clients on such matters as the administration of employee discipline, implementation of reductions in force, affirmative action compliance, alternative dispute resolution, union avoidance, executive contracts, and separation agreements.
