Lauren Reznick joined Ropes & Gray in 2008 as an associate in the Litigation Department. Lauren concentrates her practice on complex business litigation, representing public and private companies in civil False Claims Act suits, contract and transaction-related disputes, and investigations by state and federal agencies. She also advises insurer-clients and policy holders concerning coverage matters in complex property damage insurance cases.


Professional Experience

Since joining Ropes & Gray, Lauren has represented numerous clients in state and federal court in both bench and jury trials. She has represented a variety of corporations in the health care industry, financial industry, accounting industry, and insurance industry, as well as individual clients. Lauren has litigated a variety of disputes involving complex issues including False Claims Act pricing fraud allegations, state and federal health care reimbursement practices, major transaction and merger/acquisition contracts, first-party property insurance coverage, and estate planning and fiduciary obligations. Additionally, Lauren’s practice has included representing clients under investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission and Commodity Futures Trading Commission concerning allegations of accounting fraud.

Lauren has wide-ranging experience representing clients through all stages of litigation, including recently representing a major pharmaceutical manufacturer through a four-week jury trial in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She has counseled clients on discovery, deposition and pre-trial motion approaches, mediation and settlement, trial strategy, and appeal planning. Lauren also has familiarity with practice and procedures in the Delaware Court of Chancery.

Lauren’s pro bono practice has included serving as counsel to indigent clients in various family law matters such as abuse prevention orders, child support and custody determinations, and divorce. She holds a leadership role on Ropes & Gray’s pro bono collaboration with Medical-Legal Partnership│Boston, and frequently volunteers her time to serve as the “Lawyer for the Day” at the Suffolk and Middlesex Probate and Family Courts.

Prior to joining Ropes & Gray, Lauren served as a law clerk to the Honorable Christine Odell Cook Miller on the United States Court of Federal Claims, as a legal intern at the New England Legal Foundation, and as a legal intern at the United States Attorney’s Office in Boston.
