Peter joined Ropes & Gray in 2009 as an associate in the Health Care Group. Peter advises health care clients, including academic medical centers, public and nonprofit hospitals, medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies and other organizations.
- Government Enforcement – Advises clients in both an advisory and enforcement capacity on potential fraud and abuse and FCPA matters.
- Academic Affiliations – Assists academic medical centers and educational institutions in drafting and negotiating academic affiliation agreements.
- Regulatory – Monitors regulatory changes in a fast-changing industry and counsels clients on emerging opportunities and challenges under health reform, including insurance coverage expansion, accountable care organizations, and other delivery reform mechanisms.
- Transactions – Represents clients in mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions in both the for-profit and not-for-profit context.
Professional Experience
During law school, Peter interned at the National Academy for State Health Policy and at the AARP Foundation Health Litigation Group in Washington, DC. He was also a law clerk for the Office of Senator Patrick Leahy, Senate Judiciary Committee. Prior to law school, Peter worked for Biogen Idec in Cambridge, MA, where he assisted physicians with drug reimbursement and counseled patients seeking treatment with two of the company's biological therapies.
