Peter focuses his practice on ERISA and employee benefits. He advises employers, managers, and investors on the full range of ERISA issues, including fiduciary activity, prohibited transactions and exemptions, plan asset regulations, and plan governance. He has substantial experience with the ERISA aspects of structuring and operating private investment funds in the context of both ERISA compliance and the "VCOC", "REOC" and "25% rule" exceptions. Peter also supports the firm's transactional practice in the area of employee benefit and compensation issues, and advises a number of employers with respect to the design, compliance and administration of their benefit and compensation arrangements. Peter has formerly served as the partner in charge of the firm's ERISA and Employee Benefits Practice Group.
