HEALTH REFORM RESOURCE CENTER
On March 23, 2010, President Barack Obama signed comprehensive health reform legislation, the Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act (also referred to as the “Senate Health Reform Bill”), into law, providing new coverage for millions of Americans and enacting sweeping reforms of the health insurance industry and delivery system. A week later, on March 30, 2010, President Obama signed into law a package of amendments (known as the “Reconciliation Act”) to the new law. Now that the bills have been signed into law, the next steps toward implementation of this legislation begin.
Ropes & Gray offers the Health Reform Resource Center to provide up-to-the-minute information on health reform and developments, past and future, and to ensure that our clients are ready for the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. The Resource Center includes our analysis of the Patient Protection and Affordable Health Care Act—with specific analyses for different sectors of the industry relevant to our broad range of clients—one of the first glimpses of implementation of the bill through our health reform timeline, and the text of health-related legislation, committee reports, and other key documents.
