Becca focuses her practice on antitrust and anticorruption compliance advice, FCPA matters, and assisting clients in conducting internal investigations and responding to inquiries from government agencies. She also regularly provides pro bono services to indigent clients in local court matters.
Becca’s pro bono experience includes the following:
- First-chaired a child custody trial in Montgomery County District Court and obtained full custody on behalf of indigent client.
- Second-chaired a complex immigration trial of an indigent defendant asserting an asylum claim in Baltimore Immigration Court. The case is currently pending decision before the Board of Immigration Appeals.
- Successfully represented an injured veteran before the Board of Veterans Appeals, obtaining benefits owed to the veteran.
- Successfully represented an indigent claimant in DC Landlord Tenant Court, negotiating a settlement that guaranteed necessary repairs and rent abatement
- Provides ongoing counsel to a major pharmaceutical company, advising the mergers and acquisitions group on compliance matters arising from acquisitions.
- Represented numerous private equity clients before the FTC, including pre-merger advocacy and responses to third-party subpoenas.
- Created domestic and international antitrust compliance policies and training materials for a medical device company.
- Conducted an internal investigation of possible insider trading activities for a hedge fund client.
- Successfully represented a medical device manufacturer in a recently-closed off-label marketing investigation by the Massachusetts U.S.A.O.
- Conducted an internal FCPA investigation of a major pharmaceutical company’s Pakistan operations, resulting in a global settlement with the DOJ.
- Represented a prestigious fashion house in a multi-million dollar dispute with a licensor. Obtained a favorable result after an arbitration hearing lasting three weeks. Managed discovery, negotiated with opposing counsel, defended depositions and prepared witnesses for testimony.
- Routinely conducts litigation and FCPA due diligence for private equity clients.
