Robert J. Borzone, Jr., joined Ropes & Gray in 2007 as a partner in the Corporate Department and concentrates his practice in the investment management and securities practice areas.
Bob provides legal advice to funds and advisers concerning the organization and registration of exchange traded funds (ETFs), mutual funds and closed-end investment companies, fund compliance and governance issues, and fund reorganizations. He has also worked on a variety of transactions and offerings by mutual funds and closed-end investment companies.
Bob also provides legal advice to clients structuring, managing, transitioning and distributing college savings programs (529 plans) concerning the following matters: securities and tax law analysis, program configuration, contract preparation and negotiation, preparation of disclosure documents, structuring joint venture relationships and other matters relating to 529 plan operations and compliance.
