Ropes & Gray Set to Double Office Space in San Francisco
November 4, 2009
Ropes & Gray has signed a lease for new office space at Three Embarcadero Center and will relocate its San Francisco office there in the spring of 2010. The lease covers 50,000 feet on two floors -- more than double the firm’s current space in One Embarcadero Center and provides attractive expansion options to accommodate future growth.
“Despite challenging economic times for law firms in California and around the country, Ropes & Gray is very upbeat about the firm’s future here in the City,” said Geoffrey Leonard, managing partner of the San Francisco office. “We expect to continue to build on our core strengths in the Bay Area, including corporate finance, health care, intellectual property litigation, investment management, life sciences, private equity and our recently added government enforcement and general litigation.”
Ropes & Gray currently has 37 attorneys in the San Francisco office, which was established in 2001. Ropes & Gray’s Silicon Valley office has 25 attorneys. The firm also has offices in Boston, New York, Washington, D.C., Chicago, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Its newest office will open in London in January 2010.
