Ropes & Gray announces move to new office quarters in Chicago
July 21, 2008

Chicago (July 21, 2008) Ropes & Gray is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement to occupy new, more spacious office quarters in the One Eleven South Wacker Tower at the corner of Wacker Drive and Monroe Street.

Ropes & Gray has been steadily growing since its February 2008 expansion into the Chicago market. The firm's new space occupies the entire 46th floor of the building, with 28,000 square feet. The building, completed in 2005, has been widely recognized for its innovative architecture, including LEED-CS Gold certification for its environmentally sustainable design.

"We've more than doubled the number of attorneys since our opening in Chicago, and we expect to continue a steady expansion," said Jim Lidbury, a mergers & acquisitions partner who heads the Chicago office. "This sparkling new office, with its prime location in the heart of the Wacker Drive business corridor, close to Metra and CTA stations and with easy expressway access, will accommodate our plans for continued growth in Chicago."

Ropes & Gray has signed a three-year lease and is subletting the office space from the law firm of Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell, LLP.
