Practice
Russ Gaudreau, a partner in the Tax & Benefits Department since 1979, heads Ropes & Gray’s employee benefits consulting and actuarial practice. Russ concentrates on retirement plan and executive benefit matters and practices in our Boston and Washington, D.C. offices.
Professional Experience
He is the former managing partner of our Washington, DC office. He maintains close contacts with Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and Department of Labor (DOL) representatives in Washington, D.C and frequently obtains private letter rulings, closing agreements, and advisory opinions for the firm’s clients from both the IRS and DOL. He has concentrated in employee benefits law for thirty-five years.
