Practice
William McCormack, formerly of Reboul, MacMurray, Hewitt & Maynard, joined Ropes & Gray in 2003 in connection with the combination of the two firms. Bill is co-chairman of the Private Equity Investment Funds Practice Group at Ropes & Gray. His practice includes representation of numerous domestic and international private investment funds, including buy-out, venture capital, mezzanine, distressed debt, infrastructure, emerging markets funds and fund of funds.
Professional Experience
His client responsibilities principally involve him in representing private equity sponsor groups in their fundraising activities, organizational structure, operational matters and portfolio company investments. As a result of his extensive private equity experience, he has a broad knowledge of industry best practices and "market" terms and conditions. He is a frequent speaker at private equity conferences and seminars.
