Byung is co-head of the firm's global finance practice group. He focuses his practice on leveraged finance transactions, including syndicated credit facilities, high yield bond offerings, asset-based financings, junior capital facilities and bridge facilities. Byung has extensive experience representing private equity firms and their portfolio companies, debt investment funds and public companies.

  • Represented Bain Capital in connection with obtaining debt financing for its acquisition of Innocor, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced foam products for the bedding industry.
  • Represented Silver Lake Partners in connection with obtaining debt financing for its acquisition of SolarWinds, a leading provider of powerful and affordable IT management software.
  • Represented Bain Capital in connection with obtaining debt financing for its acquisition of Blue Coat Systems, an IT security solutions provider.
  • Represented Bain Capital in connection with obtaining debt financing for its acquisition of TI Automotive Systems, a leading provider of fluid storage, carrying, and delivery systems to automotive manufacturers.
