Kirsten Boreen Liedl

Associate

Kirsten Boreen Liedl is an associate in the government enforcement practice group. Kirsten has diverse experience in government-initiated and internal investigations. Her experience includes representing clients in matters involving the False Claims Act, federal and state anti-kickback laws, and federal securities laws.

Kirsten maintains an active pro bono immigration practice, specifically focusing on the representation of children. Kirsten has also represented individuals in family law matters and an incarcerated individual seeking exoneration through DNA testing.

Prior to joining the firm, Kirsten served as a judicial clerk to Justice Peter T. Zarella at the Connecticut Supreme Court. During law school, Kirsten was a Comments Editor for the University of Pennsylvania Law Review and an Arthur Littleton and H. Clayton Louderback Legal Writing Instructor.

Experience

  • Represented medical device and pharmaceutical companies in investigations by the Department of Justice concerning alleged violations of the False Claims Act and the federal Anti-Kickback Statute.
  • Investigated and defended private equity advisor in SEC investigation regarding fees, expenses, and potential conflicts of interest.
  • Represented international client in Hong Kong arbitration regarding a commercial supply agreement.
  • Drafted preliminary injunction motion in breach of contract and intellectual property dispute.
  • Obtained asylum and special immigrant juvenile status for juvenile clients.
