Jean Qiu joined the intellectual property transaction group of Ropes & Gray’s Shanghai office as an international associate in 2019. Jean represents clients on business and intellectual property transactions, including technology transfer and technology licensing.
Before joining Ropes & Gray, Jean practiced both IP litigation and prosecution matters, and represented companies in a wide range of industries, including private equity, branded consumer products, manufacturing, chemistry, life sciences, pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
Jean obtained a bachelor degree in Biotechnology in China and J.D. degree in the United States. Jean also passed the Chinese bar exam.
