James W. Tsaparlis
James Tsaparlis joined Ropes & Gray’s litigation department in 2018. He represents a number of clients in the private equity, pharmaceutical, and life sciences industries on a broad range of issues and has maintained a robust pro bono practice centered on defensive immigration representation.
Prior to joining the firm, James earned his JD concurrent with an MBA through an accelerated dual-degree program at Suffolk University. James spent two semesters interning with the Health Care Fraud unit of the U.S. Attorney’s Office. James also interned with the Honorable Marianne Bowler in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. In his final year of law school, James served as the Managing Editor for the Suffolk University Law Review.
Before law school, James spent two years as a litigation clerk in Boston law firms. In that capacity, he focused on brand equity protection, consumer finance, and antitrust matters.
