Kate Yuan Tian
Kate (Yuan) Tian joined Ropes & Gray's Litigation and Enforcement practice in 2018. She represents clients in civil and criminal litigation and enforcement matters, as well as client counseling and internal investigations. She also advises clients on transactions involving anti-corruption and trade compliance risks. Kate maintains an active pro bono practice with a focus on vulnerable groups including women and children. She has represented indigent clients in federal habeas corpus petitions, and assisted in federal criminal proceedings and research projects focused on sex-trafficking in collaboration with the National Center for Missing Women and Children and Liberty Shared. During law school, Kate served as a submissions editor for the Yale Journal of International Law.
