Kennan joined Ropes & Gray as a Litigation & Enforcement associate in 2016. Kennan advises clients on a wide range of antitrust matters, including transaction risk, Department of Justice and Federal Trade Commission-facing advocacy, Civil Investigative Demand and Second Request compliance, and pre- and post-merger integration. Clients include both private equity sponsors and strategic acquirers and sellers. Kennan has experience preparing witnesses for and defending witnesses in government depositions. Kennan also advises clients on Section 2 compliance issues, particularly in the technology sector.
In addition to his experience in antitrust, Kennan has helped represent several individuals in co-investigations by the Department of Justice and Securities Exchange Commission relating to alleged insider trading, FCPA, and accounting fraud offenses.
Prior to joining Ropes & Gray, Kennan attended American University Washington College of Law, where he served as the Associate Articles Editor of the American University Law Review. Kennan maintains proficiency in Arabic.
