Green Continues in Role as Director of the SFO

David Green QC, director of the SFO, has been given a two-year extension in the role until April 2018.

There were some questions surrounding who would take over the role with commentators either suggesting David Green would continue, or the SFO might be absorbed into the National Crime Agency.

Today’s statement from the Attorney General does not comment on the future plans for the SFO, but with David Green remaining and being an advocate for independence it might be expected that it will remain separate for the time being.
