Chris Aitken is an associate in the firm’s asset management group. His focus includes the representation of U.S. investment advisers and private investment funds. Chris joined the firm in 2021 after having spent over two and a half years at The Blackstone Group, Inc., working in the legal group covering Blackstone Credit, one of the world’s largest credit-oriented asset managers. While at Blackstone, Chris was involved with both private funds and registered open- and closed-end investment companies investing in liquid credit, mezzanine, distressed, direct lending and energy assets as well as structured products. During law school, Chris served as a judicial intern for Chief Judge Carla E. Craig of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York and as a notes and comments editor of the Brooklyn Journal of International Law.
