Stefan Brabeck is an associate in Ropes & Gray’s asset management practice, focusing on private investment funds and their advisers. Stefan assists private fund sponsors and management companies in connection with fundraising, structuring, governance, operations, compliance and regulatory matters. Stefan has experience with open and closed end funds, co-investment structures, separately managed accounts, “funds of one”, and secondary transactions.
Prior to joining Ropes & Gray in 2021, Stefan was an investment management associate in the Chicago office of another large international law firm. Stefan’s previous experience also includes advising on the tax aspects of international and domestic corporate transactions as a mergers and acquisitions tax associate at a global accounting and advisory firm.
