Senior Funds Attorney
Darca is a senior funds attorney practicing in the private funds investment group. She joined the tax and benefits group of Ropes & Gray in 1995, and developed a proficiency in employee benefits, focusing on the fiduciary aspects of plan investments and management. Darca rejoined the firm in 2005 following a two-year hiatus while she practiced at a Des Moines law firm. Since 2005 she has focused primarily on analyzing and negotiating private equity and other private investment opportunities for investing clients. Darca has extensive experience in representing US and international institutional and other investors (including sovereign wealth funds, funds-of-funds, endowments and private foundations) in all aspects of private equity investments in US and international opportunities, including investments in real estate funds, oil and gas funds, hedge funds, separately managed accounts, coinvestments and other private investment opportunities.
