Linda Baker is a counsel in Ropes & Gray’s asset management group. She focuses her practice on representing established and emerging private investment fund sponsors on a wide range of matters, including fund structuring and formation, internal economic and governance considerations, regulatory compliance, and contractual arrangements, such as side letters with investors and service provider agreements. Linda works across funds pursuing a wide variety of strategies, including growth equity, venture capital, credit, real estate, hedge and fund of funds.

Linda also has considerable experience working with institutional investors (including feeder funds and funds of funds) in connection with all aspects of their investments in private funds. She practiced in-house at an investment management consulting firm and registered adviser performing legal due diligence on a wide range of alternative investment funds and advising on regulatory and other corporate matters. Linda’s clients appreciate the practical in-house experience that she bears in her work.
