Russell E. Barnwell
Russ Barnwell joined the corporate department in 2017. Prior to law school, Russ helped coordinate Alabama’s health insurance enrollment efforts during the initial rollout of the Affordable Care Act’s marketplaces. During law school, Russ served as vice president of the University of Chicago Law School’s student government and was a member of the Institute for Justice Clinic on Entrepreneurship.
Russ graduated summa cum laude from Huntingdon College in 2013, where he served as class president and editor-in-chief of Prelude literary magazine. His activities in undergrad also included serving as founding president of the first collegiate chapter of a national service organization and co-authoring a white paper that mapped out a medical education pipeline program in order to address deficiencies in rural health care access.
