Soni is an associate in the strategic transactions group, and focuses her practice on life sciences and intellectual property transactions. Soni advises public and private companies, investors and institutions in IP and technology issues related to strategic transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, technology licensing and transfer, commercial agreements, copyright and trademark matters and other strategic relationships. Soni has experience advising companies in many different industries, including financial services, computer science, medical devices, biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Soni also actively participates in the data, privacy & cybersecurity practice group.
Soni also provides pro bono representation to clients who require assistance with name and gender changes on federal and state identification documents as well as clients who require assistance in navigating the U.S. citizenship process.
During law school, Sonam was a member of the Boston University Law Review, worked as an intern in the Healthcare Division of the Massachusetts's Attorney General's office and as a judicial intern for Chief Judge Patti B. Saris, U.S. District Court, District of Massachusetts. Sonam also worked as an intern for Senator James Elridge as part of her legislative clinic. Prior to law school, Sonam worked as a business consultant at an accounting firm in Boston.
