Glen Chen is a counsel in the firm’s asset management group who primarily advises established and emerging fund managers. Clients rely on Glen for his clear, pragmatic and business-focused approach, informed by more than ten years of experience as a lawyer, principal and adviser to investment firms and technology companies.

He guides clients on the structure, formation and regulation of onshore and offshore funds, working across a range of fund types, including private equity, venture capital, credit, real estate, hedge and fund of funds. For firms just starting out, Glen also advises on initial management company formation issues, such as carry arrangements, seed capital transactions and employment matters. In addition, he represents a variety of institutional investors in their alternative investments. 

As a native crypto user, Glen also brings substantive knowledge in the area of cryptocurrency. He regularly counsels companies and participants in the blockchain and digital asset industry, including crypto fund managers, development and research labs, digital asset exchanges, issuers of fungible and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), DeFi protocols, and DAOs.
