Erin M. Fredrick Conklin
Erin Conklin is an associate in the firm’s asset management group in Chicago. Erin focuses her practice on representing asset managers in regulatory, transactional and compliance matters. She represents broker-dealers with respect to Exchange Act and FINRA compliance matters, including Regulation Best Interest, and provides advice on regulatory issues in connection with mergers and acquisitions involving broker-dealers. Erin also counsels the advisers of mutual funds, hedge funds and private equity funds on commodities law matters, including Commodity Exchange Act and NFA registration, regulation and compliance issues. Her practice also includes advice to private fund sponsors on the formation and operation of open- and closed-end funds.
During law school, Erin served as senior publication editor for the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law. Prior to law school, Erin was a paralegal in the mutual funds administration group of a large financial services company and provided operations and compliance support to an independent asset management firm.
