Katie joined Ropes & Gray’s New York office in 2021 as a law clerk in the firm’s corporate department. Katie works primarily in the real estate investments & transactions group.

Prior to joining Ropes, Katie worked as a business and legal affairs associate at FilmNation Entertainment, a New York based independent studio, where her experience included negotiating production, finance, and development deals for the company’s slate of feature film, television, and podcast productions. Before that, Katie worked as a business and legal affairs summer associate at the Charlotte Hornets Organization, working predominately in transactional intellectual property and commercial contracts.

While in law school, Katie co-authored and published a Note in the NYU Journal of Intellectual Property and Entertainment Law on art authentication and white-collar crime titled “Risky Business: Fraud, Authenticity, & Limited Legal Protections in the High Art Market.” Katie served as President of the Entrepreneurial Law Association and participated as a board member of the law school’s Institute for Innovation, a clinic offering services to small businesses and entrepreneurs in the community. Katie also served as a member of the North Carolina Journal of Law and Technology, viewed as one of the top law and technology journals in the country. Katie was awarded the Eugene Gressman & Daniel H. Pollitt Oral Advocate Award recognizing the top oral advocates of the Class of 2021.
