Shawn Donovan
Associate
Shawn joined Ropes & Gray in 2019 as an associate in the firm's asset management group. Shawn represents registered investment companies, their independent trustees and investment advisers in regulatory, transactional and compliance matters. He regularly advises with respect to the development, registration and operation of fund products, including the preparation and review of disclosure in offering documents and shareholder communications, and with respect to the ongoing representation of registered funds’ boards of trustees.
Shawn was previously in-house counsel for a global investment management firm. He began his career as an associate at another elite law firm in Washington, D.C., and clerked for the Honorable Rebecca Grady Jennings in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky.
