Sophia Duval practices in Ropes & Gray’s asset management group and focuses primarily on private investment funds. She advises private equity firms and asset managers on a broad range of matters spanning across fund formation, secondary sales, and co-investments. Sophia joined the firm’s corporate department in 2019. She previously represented registered funds in operational and compliance matters, and has assisted on a variety of transactions including leveraged debt financing, registered funds transactions, and initial public offerings.
During law school, Sophia served as a legal intern for the Superior Court Trial Team at the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office. She also interned with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration before attending law school.
