Jack Eckart has been a member of the Ropes & Gray Benefits Consulting Group since 2014. Jack advises health care systems, higher education institutions, and other tax-exempt and for-profit employers in the design, implementation, and administration of health & welfare, retirement, compensation and employee equity plans.
Jack works closely with clients in designing, developing and maintaining competitive and cost-effective benefit plans. He also works with clients on plan administration and recordkeeping and routine government filings. Jack regularly assists plan sponsors with on-going insurer and vendor relationships to ensure they are efficient. He administers all aspects of the Request for Proposals process for third-party service providers, and develops client communications for employees and benefit plan participants.
Jack also works with members of the firm’s executive compensation practice on the administration and analysis of executive compensation arrangements and non-qualified retirement plans. In addition, he has experience analyzing golden parachute payments under section 280G of the Internal Revenue Code.
Prior to joining Ropes & Gray, Jack was a compliance auditor at a boutique accounting firm.
