Bessie Frías joined Ropes & Gray’s corporate department in 2021 and practices primarily in the firm’s health care group.

During law school, Bessie served as a teaching assistant for Professor Maria O’Brien and Professor Nicole Huberfeld. Bessie also interned at East Boston Neighborhood Health Center and assisted in several corporate health care related matters. Additionally, Bessie served as a staff editor and then as an articles editor on the American Journal of Law and Medicine. Lastly, during her time at Boston University School of Law she served as a vice president for the Latin American Law Students Association (LALSA).

Prior to law school, Bessie earned her B.S. in biology with a minor in human health from Emory University. During her time at Emory, Bessie also published an abstract with the American College of Rheumatology that focused on the use of tumor necrosis factor alpha inhibitors in pediatric HLA-B27 associated uveitis.
