Richard J. Gauthier

Richard Gauthier joined Ropes & Gray in 2019 as an associate in the firm's corporate department in Boston and is a member of the private capital transactions practice group. Prior to joining the firm, Richard focused his practice on representing technology companies in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and venture capital financing at a boutique law firm in Boston. 

Richard received his JD from New England Law | Boston in 2017 and received his LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Information Privacy from Fordham Law in 2018, graduating cum laude. While at Fordham Law, Richard served on the Intellectual Property, Media and Entertainment Law Journal and was a member of the Samuelson Glushko Intellectual Property and Information Privacy Clinic, where he received the Archibald R. Murray Public Service Award for his work advising clients on intellectual property law, GDPR issues and general corporate matters for local startups.
