Robert Gipson
Associate
Robert Gipson II is an associate who joined Ropes & Gray’s litigation and enforcement practice group in 2022. Robert’s practice focuses on civil litigation, government enforcement, and internal investigations. Robert also maintains a robust pro bono practice that ranges from housing matters and veterans’ issues to victim support and racial justice efforts.
Before law school, Robert gained significant and broad legal experience as a legal victim advocate for survivors of the Las Vegas mass shooting and other violent crimes. While attending Boston University School of Law, Robert earned a Rappaport Fellowship in Law and Public Policy, an experience through which he focused on innovative, criminal justice reform policy for then-City Councilor Michelle Wu. Also during his time at BU Law, Robert served as co-president for the Black Law Students Association, received an appointment to BU Law’s Faculty Committee on Community and Inclusion, and worked as a student attorney in the Employment Rights Clinic.
