Robert Gipson II is a law clerk who joined Ropes & Gray’s litigation and enforcement practice group in 2022. Robert’s work focuses on civil litigation, government enforcement, and internal investigations. Robert maintains a robust pro bono practice that ranges from housing matters and veterans’ issues to victim support and racial justice efforts.

While attending Boston University School of Law, Robert earned a Rappaport Fellowship in Law and Public Policy, an experience through which he focused on innovative, criminal justice reform policy for then-City Councilor Michelle Wu. Also during his time at BU Law, Robert served as co-president for the Black Law Students Association, received an appointment to BU Law’s Faculty Committee on Community and Inclusion, and worked as a student attorney in the Employment Rights Clinic.
