Associate

Darryl Hazelwood is an associate in the corporate department. Darryl represents private equity and venture capital sponsors, private equity portfolio companies and investment banks in connection with mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, equity investments and co-investments and general corporate matters.

Darryl rejoined Ropes & Gray in 2016. Prior to rejoining the firm, Darryl served as counsel at a leading asset management firm where he primarily covered their fund of fund business and other alternative investments.

Experience

  • Represented Easton-Bell Sports, Inc. in the $330 million sale of its baseball and softball business in a transaction that closed in April of 2014.
  • Advised Stanadyne Corp., a Kohlberg-backed company, on the sale of its Filtration business to Clarcor Inc. for approximately $325 million.
  • Represented H.I.G. Capital in obtaining financing of $365 million to fund the acquisition of American Pacific Corporation, a leading manufacturer of fine and specialty chemicals serving the pharmaceutical and aerospace and defense industries, in a take private transaction.
  • Negotiated confidentiality agreements on behalf of clients reviewing potential transactions.
