Justin Kaufman joined Ropes & Gray’s real estate investments and transactions group in 2021. Justin advises investors, private equity clients and other financial institutions on a broad range of transactional matters, such as acquisitions, dispositions, repurchase facilities and financing.

Justin also advises clients on issues related to blockchain, cryptocurrency, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and asset tokenization. He frequently publishes articles and speaks about the legal and business issues associated with blockchain technology and digital assets.

During law school, Justin represented early-stage startup companies with the Cardozo Tech Startup Clinic. Justin spent a semester serving as a full-time student law clerk to the Hon. Patty Shwartz of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Justin also served as an Associate Editor for the Cardozo Law Review, President of the Cardozo Startup Society, and teaching assistant to Property Law Professor Michael Herz.
