Marina Kofsman is a member of Ropes & Gray’s asset management practice, working with the hedge funds and private investment funds practice groups in knowledge management. To provide clients with the most up-to-date and efficient counsel and guidance, Marina oversees the maintenance and development of information, and best practices. In an ever-changing investment and regulatory environment, Marina collaborates across both teams on the most effective techniques, procedures and developments across all aspects of private funds.
Prior to joining the firm, Marina focused for eight years on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, fund formation, and venture capital. Her sponsor side fundraising experience includes the structuring and formation of leveraged buyout, venture capital, real estate and special focus funds. On the investor side, Marina represented a number of fund of funds and public pension plans in connection with their alternative investments, both domestically and internationally. Marina was also an extern for the Honorable Consuelo B. Marshall, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
