Violetta Kokolus
Partner
Violetta provides comprehensive transactional counsel to emerging and established technology companies across many industries and verticals, including asset management, consumer branded products, media, healthcare, business services, telecommunications and industrials. She advises on a variety of strategic transactions with a focus on collaborations and joint ventures. Clients also look to her to advise on laws applicable to artificial intelligence, data innovation and privacy. She also provides guidance to clients in connection with drafting and negotiating key upstream and downstream commercial documents, such as development and services agreements, supply agreements and end user license agreements.
Violetta is a core member of Ropes & Gray’s intellectual property transactions, data, fintech and digital health initiative groups. She also participates in global industry groups that focus on the intersection of law and technology. She regularly contributes to their best practice recommendations and policy statements.
Violetta is actively involved with the Hepatitis B Foundation in its efforts to find a cure and help people affected by hepatitis B around the world. She also has a pro bono practice focused on helping nonprofits effectively maintain, protect and enforce their intellectual property rights.
