Carmen Lam

Carmen Lam joined Ropes & Gray’s San Francisco Office in 2021 and practices in the health care group. She provides regulatory, compliance, transactional, and governance advice to a broad range of health care clients, including universities and academic medical centers, hospitals and health systems, pharmaceutical and medical device companies, and investors.
Prior to law school, Carmen worked as a research compliance analyst, providing compliance and regulatory support for the institutional review board and research faculty at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2018, Carmen interned at the University of California’s Office of the General Counsel, in the Health Affairs & Technology Law Group. In the same year, she also completed an externship at the United States Attorney’s Office in San Jose, assisting with civil actions under the False Claims Act.
